[Review] Prenatal & Postnatal Massage by PNSG

We would like to share a review of our Prenatal and Postnatal Massage from mommy Rachel Lee. We understand the importance of caring for both body and mind during this special time, and we are thrilled to help mothers recover and relax with our massages. We hope her experience inspired you to give yourself some love with soothing massages too!

Pre Natal-Massage

Pre Natal-Massage

As my baby bump grows throughout the pregnancy, body aches/tailbone pain and water retention has inevitably become more prominent. I am thankful to have met my masseur from Post Natal Massage Singapore (PNSG) and I had one session of Pre-natal Meridian Massage. Her techniques were on point to soothe my knots and aches. I’m glad to be able to take some time off from mommy duties to relax which helped me so much from physical and mental well-being.

Due to the pandemic, I really love the idea that I do not need to step out of my house to get a much-needed massage for my tired body. Skipped transportation, dressing up and all the inconvenience is always a good idea!

Even though I only had one session instead of two (due to the sudden rise in covid cases), I truly enjoyed the session so much! Not only I took the time to unwind, the massage also encourages blood circulation and feel so energized after that.

I highly recommend having someone on the journey with you and heed advice along the way from pre to post-natal- especially for first-time mom. It makes all the difference. PNSG has been in the industry for years and has over 70 professional masseurs under its wing. Nothing beats the experience and in-depth knowledge of the masseurs.

Honestly just very thankful to enjoy good prenatal massage comfortably at home which makes pregnancy so much easier!

Post Natal Massage

Post Natal Massage

As a Caesarean mother, I could only commence my Post Natal Massage 21 days later. I was beyond elated to take up 11 sessions with Post Natal Massage Singapore (PNSG)- in all honesty, being a mother of 2, my post-partum body was really hard to look at. Thankfully I have found PNSG to help me regain back my prenatal shape to the best possible!

I couldn’t have said it enough but PNSG really helped me a lot through my post-partum journey! It takes about 1hr 15 mins for each session, on daily basis except for weekend, it felt heavenly!

After each session, I will be wrapped with the red binder and was advised to put it on for at least 6 hours, not to wear it overnight to prevent poor blood circulation. It was a tad uncomfortable and restrictive but overall bearable, I could still latch and pump at the same time. (The binder will get tighter session by session) This time around my breastfeeding journey was quite a breeze and didn’t need any massage on my boobs, phew!

Massage Towels

All I need to prepare for my masseur are:

  1. Single mattress/single bedded- so that the masseur will have an easy access for a full body massage, there will be a plastic sheet cover over it- provided)
  2. 2 big and small towels
  3. PNSG will provide a binder (size will be based on your height/weight)
  4. 2 kitchen towels (she will put it on the stomach before binding so that my binder will not be dirtied)
  • Take a shower before the massage start for hygiene purpose
  • Take some light food 1 hour before the massage
  • Wash the binder during weekends or when no session for hygiene purpose

Massage Oil

Above are the massage essentials she brought over to massage me!

I requested for less oily as I do not like to feel sticky all over!

(Grapeseed oil to the rescue!)

Body Massage

My first time on my belly after 38 weeks! It felt so good! I told my masseur (Mdm Farisha) on the parts that I needed more rubs and she gladly did so!

Postnatal Massage after 11 Days

After 11 sessions, I could see more visible results on my weight transformation!

I lost 2kg and my mum-tum has flattened for quite a bit. I guessed I’ve lucked out a good therapist, she is so skilful, professional and encouraging. Most importantly it helped me to deflate the wind in my tummy/ tones and tighten up the stomach muscles which contributed to the eventual weight loss.

Postnatal Massage after sessions

Pregnancy is a time of great physical and emotional change for a woman. I am still not back to my pre-pregnancy state yet, 5 more kg to go! However, self-love is still equally important as well. By looking at the visuals, I am definitely much happier to look at my own body after the 11 sessions.

Baby Care

At the end of my 11th session, Aele also had a short session of 10 minutes massage! Mdm Farisha has kindly taught me the techniques on how to massage my baby by using the “I L U” method. It’s good to promote relaxation, relief of wind in stomach and also strengthening bond!

Baby Sleeping

Baby Aele slept so well after the massage as it helps to soothe my baby and promote better sleep quality. It has added benefits as well such as aiding digestion, improving circulation and dealing with tummy troubles such as colic!

Mother with Baby

Thank you PNSG once again for the pleasant experience! I will be back again if I have number 3 for sure!
